Ride the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes
Biking the Trail of the Coeur d’Alene is not only one of the best things to do in Idaho, it also happens to be one of the best ways to take in the scenic views around Harrison. Spanning 73 miles between the cities of Plummer and Mullan, this trail passes right through Harrison, skirting around Lake Coeur d’Alene before crossing over the Chatcolet Bridge. If you’re in need of a ride, you can rent a bicycle or e-bike from The Cycle Haus, which also serves a variety of food, coffee, and craft beer. Harrison may be a small town, but it still offers a wealth of history and intrigue. Founded in 1899, the town played a vital role during the gold rush and was actively involved with the timber boom, as well as the onset of steamboats and railroads. To learn more about this, you can visit the Crane Historical Society, which houses a number of artifacts and relics from the town’s earliest days. There’s even an old jail cell dating back to the 1920s that you can check out!

If you are heading out on the water make sure you know the local laws and regulations for boater safety.

Here you’ll have the opportunity to experience true ranch life, complete with horseback riding, skeet shooting, archery, fishing, and much more!
