Cities You Must Visit on a Trip to Europe
If you’re traveling to Europe, like me you may wish to try and pack in as many destinations into one trip as possible. Luckily Europe is the best place to be able to actually make this happen. With a great transportation network of local and multi country trains, planes and car rentals planning a multi city European vacation is easier than ever.
Things to Consider When Visiting Europe
I’m going to share some of the most breathtaking European cities you should visit while you’re traveling abroad. First, I want to point out that this post may contain affiliate links that help me earn a small commission at no cost to you when you choose to click and make a purchase. Keep in mind: If you are organizing your own tour around Europe, you can make it as budget conscious or luxurious as you want. For trips that conform to the former, remember that there are plenty of youth hostels that offer dorm rooms for a small price, as well as single rooms for slightly higher as well. Europe has accommodations for every budget and most cities have plenty of cheap and moderately inexpensive hotels that offer more privacy than a hostel, or you can also rent an AirBNB. Traveling by rail one can easily travel from city to city quickly all throughout Europe, something you can further investigate here.
If you’re looking for a high end hotel and don’t want to organize your trip yourself there are some great new sites out there that will do the leg work for you. In fact, all you need to do is check out companies like the one you will find on this website and give them a rundown of your requirements, then they will do the rest all the way down to even booking your restaurant meal in the evening! Now you can’t get any more convenient than that can you?
Amsterdam
However, despite this, you can still expect canals and bicycles as far as the eye can see. After all, at the last count, there were more bikes in Amsterdam than there were people!
While you are in Amsterdam it is likely you will want to visit some of the many cultural attractions. One that should definitely not be missed is Anne Frank’s house. The place where the Jewish teenager and her family hid along with others during WW2. Of course, it can be an emotional visit as sadly Anne did not manage to stay hidden and along with her sister was sent to a concentration camp, a place in which she died just months before the end of the war.
There are, of course, some more light-hearted places to visit in Amsterdam as well. One such place is the famous Bulldog cafe. An establishment in which you can consume certain substances legally in this city.
Hamburg
During the days in Hamburg, you can amuse yourself in the Miniatur Wunderland, a model railway attraction and the biggest one of its kind in the world. Then why not head over at the Kunsthalle to soak up some culture. A place where you can you can check out painting such as Seashore by Moonlight by Caspar David Friedrich and Monkey Frieze Painting by Franz Marc.
Lastly, you can round the day off with a visit to a beer hall as well. A wonderful place to pick up some traditional German culture and have a few steins while you do it!
Venice
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]Then once you arrive in Venice proper, you will be free to explore this magnificent city at your leisure. Take a trip to the Doge’s Palace, visit San Marco square to eat gelato, or explore the back streets and canals and visit the glass blowing district. You’ll be glad you did![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_larger=”no”]
London
Of course, if you are looking for that quintessential English experience, then you can do no better than booking an afternoon tea at the Ritz Hotel. Just be sure to do this well ahead of your travel date because spaces fill up months in advance!
Then there are some more modern wonders to enjoy as well including the Shard, and the London Eye which is a huge Ferris wheel with a panoramic view out over the city. Oh, and don’t forget to sample some fish and chips before you leave either. After all tasting, the local cuisine is an essential part of enjoying yourself on any European tour!
