Mountains, wild coastal cliffs and beaches, and unspoiled trails that network through it all make Acadia National Park one of the coolest parks to visit. Be sure to follow all park rules and respect your surroundings while you’re here. Acadia National Park
Acadia is located in Maine’s midsection, protecting half of Mount Desert Island as well as 17 other islands on the Maine seacoast. It combines rocky coastline, with granite-strewn mountains, forests full of pine trees and birches, and island lakes perfect for post-hike swimming. Visitors to Acadia National Park can take a scenic drive through the park, dine on seafood in Bar Harbour, wade into tide pools, hike ladder-lined trails, and even try their hand at lobster fishing.
